1996 Porsche 911 Turbo Unboxing Review

For our latest unboxing review we have something quite special. The 1996 porsche 911 turbo , specifically the 993 generation, was part of the last generation of 911s with not only the classic body shell, but also the famed air-cooled flat-six engine. Its 996 successor, of course, marked the beginning of the water-cooled flat-six, which remains in place today. But the 993 911 Turbo was also the first 911 Turbo to feature all-wheel drive, a technology that was derived specifically from the iconic 959. Power, in this case, comes from a 3.6-liter flat-six with 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, with power going all wheels through a six-speed manual. Performance, of course, is nuts. Zero to 60 mph happens in a mere 3.7 seconds, 0-100 in 9.1 seconds, and a top speed of 180 mph. Just for comparison, that 0-60 mph time is faster than most of the 993 911 Turbo's rivals at the time, including the Ferrari F355, Dodge Viper, Corvette ZR1 and, shockingly, the Lamborghini Diablo VT, which also had AWD. This particular 911 Turbo seems to be in excellent overall condition, with around 35,000 miles on its clock. The exterior seems to have an aftermarket front spoiler and wheels, but that massive rear wing is stock. Inside, you'll find a 911 interior of yesteryear. Heck, there's even a six-disc CD changer and hands-free cell phone. Hey, it was the 90s. Enjoy the review!
